Minnesota Zoo Field Trip
On Wednesday, April 13th, we will be taking our only field trip to the Minnesota Zoo thanks to funds from our own Byron PTO and transportation funds from our school district. Each child will need good walking shoes, a recyclable cold lunch and appropriate clothing for the weather. We will be leaving at 8:00 am and returning around 2:15 pm. |

Bicycle Safety Presentation
On Friday, April 18th, our SRO Officer Chad Nelson, will be presenting a lesson on bicycle safety to our students. Please allow your child to bring in their bicycle helmet so he can do a "fitting" free of charge! |

Tornado Drill
On April 18th, our school will be holding an official tornado drill at 2:00 pm.. Ask your child what procedures they go through in school in case of a tornado. This is a great time to review your home tornado practice procedures! |

Spring Pictures
On Tuesday, April 19th, we will be taking Spring Pictures in our school building. You are not obligated to buy any of them but our school does receive a stipend for taking them. |

Our Easter or Spring Vacation begins on Thursday, April 21 through Monday, April 25th. Enjoy the time you have with your children! |

On Tuesday, April 29, our IBM scientists are returning to our classroom to teach our students more about science. |

Unit 5 Spelling Test!
OnTuesday, April 19, we will be taking our Unit 5 Spelling Test. I will be giving the students 25 random words from a collection of 375 spelling words. Take time to study these words over the weeks, cramming does not work. |
